goodbye to forceps and ankles bound
sometimes you need to feel your feet on the ground
goodbye to hospitals powered by greed
loving hands are all we need

someone with patients who understands 
we need more gentle hands
giving birth and giving life 
we all want a midwife

goodbye to cutting to make more room 
inadequate bodies they always assume
goodbye to drugs that flood our veins 
in the name of progress only numbness remains
